our second attempt: involving actual plastic coated clothesline, two mini bungee cords, a metal clothesline-tightening widget and mama's nearly forgotten girl scout knot tying knowledge.

a detail: the only nails i could find did not have flat heads, so a little bounce on the line would pop it off the nail. not a very effect clothesline and rather frustrating. he came up with this solution all by himself.
