Josef Albers for toddlers: beginning color theory
he is starting to learn the names of the colors. (thought mostly things are blue or red, if you ask him.) mama with her art school education mixed him up some colors of play dough.

it is like a color wheel to he can play with and oh, the blending possiblies. there is even a square cookie cutter if he wants to duplicate Homage to the Square.

my leftie
he's been making a new kind of mark lately and today he called it "write" instead of "draw."
he asked me to write "papa" and i did. then he wrote it, too.

meanwhile, he's being left-handed
so, a quick story.
mostly i post when he's snoozing (like right now.) but sometimes i get the urge (or an impatient email from a loyal reader) and have to post while he's awake. when this happens, i try to find activities to occupy him. this one was supposed to be drawing-on-the-paperbut rapidly turned into drawing-on-my-own-hand. i swear, i only looked away for like two seconds. but yes, i did give him the pens to start out with.
on the bright side, it is proof that he may be left-handed (like his mama.)
